The Shanti Counselling Centre welcomes Naomi Kolinsky as a clinical associate. Naomi moved to Vancouver in 1996 to pursue her education. She is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology from UBC.

Naomi works from a heart-centered approach in which she guides, directs, and challenges clients in a gentle and compassionate manner toward the core of their issues. She believes that each client is the expert of his/her own life. Her aim is to help clients connect with their own intuition and higher wisdom in order to bring about healing and empowerment. Naomi can help clients in the following ways:

  • to develop healthier relationships with self and others
  • to identify and change self-sabotaging patterns in
  • to overcome addictions and maintain long term abstinence
  • to learn healthier ways of coping with and managing uncomfortable feelings
  • to be able to identify needs, feelings, and thoughts, and assertively express them to others
  • to develop more clarity regarding one’s ideal life path
  • to become calmer, happier, more peaceful, and more accepting of self and others 

Naomi believes that balance and wellness are just as important for her as they are for her clients. In her personal time she pursues her passion for dance, the arts, travel, and close connections with loved ones.

  • Relational conflict in heterosexual, gay, lesbian, bisexual, and/or queer relationships
